Communication is the Key
We maintain open
lines of communication with you, your vendors and freight carriers so
that you do not have to worry about the status of your shipments. As your
traffic department it is our job to ensure that you do not have to become
involved unnecessarily. Of course, we keep you regularly updated and let
you know about any potential or actual problems as they become apparent.

Through our affiliations with a vast network of carriers we are able to
offer discounted freight rates on shipments, which we back-up with superior
service. We are able to coordinate domestic or international shipments,
taking care of all necessary paperwork and tracking your shipment all
the way.

Account Teams
Our clients are each
assigned account teams that work together to provide optimum service on
all levels. Our professionals are experienced in all areas of logistics
and trafficking and apply this knowledge to achieve the best possible
results for our clients. Teams are comprised as follows:
Project Manager: The Project Manager heads up the client account
team and is the primary day to day contact. The Project Manager is also
responsible for any problems arising with client orders.
Project Coordinator: The Project Coordinator works directly with the
Project Manager and is the person to contact if the Project Manager is
not available.
Traffic Manager: The Traffic Manager ensures that correct procedure
is followed on all shipments. He coordinates truckload or other shipments
that require special attention. Rush shipments are tracked daily through
our Hot Shipment system.
Air Freight Coordinator: Shipments requiring air freight are directed
to our Air Freight Coordinator who arranges and tracks the progress of
the shipment.
Claims Coordinator: If a shipment becomes lost or damaged our Claims
Coordinator handles
freight claims on your behalf.

Billing
Made Easy
Our weekly manifest
billing replaces the standard individual freight bill process used by
common carriers. This itemized statement includes all freight activity
for a weekly period thus greatly reducing processing time for your accounts
payable.
Though we have a standard format for this billing, we will alter the layout
at your request and attach any required back-up documentation needed.
We want to make it as easy as possible for our clients to understand their
billing.

Determining Your
Needs
Freight Analysis
One of the primary concerns of any business is cost! It is therefore the
first determining factor we use in assessing the needs of potential clients.
In order to achieve this we request that you provide us with one month's
freight bills. We study these bills and generate an analysis of your current
freight costs. A comparison is then made between the rates you are currently
paying to your carrier(s) and those which would be available to you through
M. J. Rost Associates.
With rare exception,
these comparisons show that choosing M. J. Rost Associates as your logistics
and distribution partner would result in freight cost savings.
Service
Our flexibility means that we will adapt to your system - you will not
have to adjust to ours. We meet with you to review our initial understanding
of your needs and discuss in greater depth what must be achieved in order
for M. J. Rost Associates to provide you with the best possible service.
Having determined
your service requirements, we will generate a program most suited to your
current needs. We understand that those needs may change. If you decide
that you need something more, or we see room for improvement, we will
rework the program until it is right for you.
